Kansas received $1.25 Billion in CARES Act Coronavirus Relief Funds. The SPARK task force has established funding opportunities to aid in responding to COVID-19 and the impacts that this pandemic has had on our economy, families, healthcare, schools and communities. Barber County received a share of the funds based on population. These funds are being used to reimburse our public institutions for COVID-19 related expenses, ensure access to supplies and infrastructure to mitigate disease spread, and to revitalize local businesses and non-profits impacted by shut downs, cancellations, and reduced business due to the pandemic response.
